Character Name: Sirius Orion Black
Age/Birthdate: Resurrected age 20/April 16, 1960
Wand: holly, 12", dragon heartstring
Bloodline: Pure-blood
Why this character: Who can resist the tempting allure of a Marauder?

What is said about your character on the lexicon? If you changed canon facts, what did you change?
http://www.hp-lexicon.org/wizards/sirius.html
I haven't changed anything per se, but I added that which was not answered.

Look at the available/taken list and put which characters (at least ten names) that your character would interact or be familiar with: James Potter, Remus Lupin, Lily Potter, Harry Potter, Andromeda Tonks, Nymphadora Tonks, Severus Snape, Peter Pettigrew, Regulus Black, Bellatrix Lestrange and a whole lot more, probably.

PB: Drake Bell

Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual. Sirius just always held a fancy for the ladies. That's all.

Personality:
Being raised in a strict, conservative home like the Noble House of Black has made Sirius want nothing more than to be the opposite. He doesn't care for sitting perfectly upright at a fine dinner table drinking the most expensive wine. He'd rather sit back casually, dressing however he wanted, holding a mug of ale, laughing with his friends. He always had a rebellious nature, daring to be different from his family. While his parents did their best to keep him "under control,” so to speak, his naturally carefree nature refused to comply.

For the most part, Sirius is a carefree man. He's very easygoing, willing to work with just about anybody and offering a helping hand to anyone in need. That is, except for those like the majority of his family. He holds a resentment for those who spout their pure-blood supremacy nonsense. He doesn't care for it, and in his childlike nature, he has a tendency to immediately brush off anyone formerly from Slytherin or holds their ideals. It's fair to say that Sirius is open-minded to everything except for them.

Family:
Walburga Black Sirius and his mother butted heads from the get-go. If asked, his mother would probably say he did something horrible in his infancy. Sirius would probably believe it. Sirius could never stand her domineering personality, always trying to shove her pure-blood beliefs down his throat until he choked on it.
Orion Black Sirius' father wasn't nearly as overbearing as his mother, but he still had her beliefs. He made attempts to try and persuade Sirius otherwise, with a more constructive approach, but it also didn't work. When Sirius was proclaimed a Gryffindor and Orion realized Sirius was going to hold his stance, he more or less gave up, and they hardly regarded one another.
Regulus Black Where Sirius rebelled against his parents' ideals, Regulus conformed. They had a close relationship when they were young and even continued to as they got older. But as they clearly defined their separate ways, Sirius grew less fond of him, throwing names at Regulus with a little more malice then the typical playful banter most older brothers would provide.
Andromeda Black/Tonks Sirius' "favorite cousin," as he always liked to put it. Unlike Bellatrix and Narcissa, Andromeda appeared to share the same points of view as Sirius, making him feel less alienated. They were always very close.
Uncle Alphard Although Sirius' uncle never expressed any fondness toward Muggles or Muggle-borns (granted almost no one in the family was brave enough to), he also didn't share the same "pure-blood mania" as his sister or the Blacks. Having no children of his own, he was always very happy to see Sirius, and Sirius was quite fond of him as well.
Sirius' family is so massive, and he's related to just about every pure-blood in some way, that he couldn't possibly keep track of all of them. To put it simply, he liked those that supported his ideals and disliked those that didn't.

Personal History:
Walburga married into the Black family with a great sense of accomplishment. To be a Black made one "practically royal," as she liked to put it. So to be a part of the family, gave her a grand amount of pride. Whether she truly loved Orion, Sirius never knew, although he would suspect she loved his name more than the man. Walburga conceived her first son shortly after, then their second son about a year later.

Sirius and Regulus interacted like any young children would, until they became old enough to start making conscious decisions of their own accord and not their parents'. Sirius watched as his family constantly gushed of pure-blood supremacy and how many of the children parroted these beliefs. He just couldn't follow. He just couldn't believe one's competence and value could be determined by their ancestry, and he refused to believe lest that made him just like his mother. Contrary to Sirius, Regulus followed Walburga's command just as she wanted him to, leading her to favorite the youngest of the brothers noticeably.

Their house-elf, Kreacher, always reminded him of a miniature version of his mother ("Their faces even look the same," he once said). Sirius couldn't stand the vermin as it constantly ridiculed him and made poor attempts to guilt-trip him by saying what a disappointment he was to her and what a failure he was. Looking down, literally, at the elf with disgust, Sirius could never bring himself to treat him better than the elf treated him.

Orion, on the other hand, tried his best to persuade Sirius with positive reinforcement. While his behavior didn't factor into his ideals, he still was the first born, the first heir, the inheritor. Unlike Walburga, who was ready to toss Sirius on the street the moment he spoke back to her, Orion believed he could sway him with time, feeling once Sirius went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin, he would change. His efforts proved futile. Sirius wasn't about to change for anybody, not even his family.

In fact, the poor kid spent his childhood certain that he was completely mad. With no exposure to Muggles, Muggle-borns or half-bloods, he really had no reason to think independently, but the plain and simple fact was he did. He found a lot of solace in his cousin, Andromeda Black, who he learned felt similarly to the way he did. Also in his Uncle Alphard who loved to spoil him and seemed to encourage free thinking. If it weren't for them, he would've thought he suffered some severe mental illness.

When Orion and Walburga brought him to Kings Cross station, they waved so proudly, certain Hogwarts was going to mold Sirius into the son they always wanted. Wrong! Sirius strayed from them immediately, bumping into none other than James Potter. James Potter was also a pure-blood, and he came from a family that expressed kindness and an open mind. Sirius was delighted, and with James sharing the same playful personality as him, the two became inseparable.

When the Sorting Hat shouted, "Gryffindor!" Sirius wrote to his parents right away, loving that he could rub in their faces that he wasn't like them. Rather than getting a letter from his mother that said, "Don't ever come home!" like he expected, he didn't single note back, as well as nothing for Christmas. But Sirius didn't care, he was having too much fun with James to even notice. The two quickly made themselves known, picking up Remus Lupin (who claimed to not be as wild as them, but James and Sirius knew better) and Peter Pettigrew. Peter was never as "cool" as James or Remus in Sirius' opinion, but he followed them like a lost puppy dog. He was like their cheerleader, and that amused Sirius.

The quartet, later known as the Marauders, was either loved or hated. Many people found their childish pranks and sense of humor delightful. Others hated it--Slytherins, to be exact and to be more specific, Severus Snape. Snape and James conflicted immediately. Sirius, who didn't like Snape sputtering against Muggle-borns like his parents and also dearly loyal to his best friend, also took a disliking to the greasy-haired child. They often made a game of "picking on Snape," much to their delight as well as Snape's dismay. Although he liked to state otherwise, Snape gave them just as much of a hard time as they gave him.

These antics were never appreciated by the teachers, but they couldn't deny Sirius' talent. They held a respect for him even if they didn't approve of his behavior.

Upon returning home from Hogwarts for the first time, Sirius nearly gave his mother a heart attack. He plastered Gryffindor flags and banners all over his room, sure to use permanent sticking charms, otherwise she'd take them down. He also gained a collection of Muggle magazines from various Muggle-borns that were his classmates. He took a fascination with automobiles, particularly motorcycles. Happier than ever, Sirius was no longer alarmed at his mother's attempts to make him act like a "proper pure-blood" boy. He loved talking about the Muggle-borns he was friendly with and pulling out the magazines in front of her, growing a perverse sense of satisfaction when she'd scream and tear at her hair.

As the boys grew older at Hogwarts so did their friendship. They learned that Remus Lupin was a werewolf, and while he looked ashamed, Sirius, James, and Peter got a huge kick out of it. "That's the wickedest thing I've ever heard!" chimed Sirius. By their fifth year, Sirius, James, and Peter all figured out how to become Animagi, albeit illegally. Sirius took the form of a shaggy black dog. They came up with nicknames for each other: Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot, and Prongs--Sirius being Padfoot--and addressed each other with those names therein after, also calling themselves "the Marauders.”

On the full moon, Sirius, James, and Peter would sneak out with Remus, taking their Animagi forms. As a werewolf, Remus wouldn't hurt them in their those forms, so they would sneak around, discovering all the various secrets Hogwarts had to hide. They used what they learned to create the Marauder's Map, in hopes of aiding troublemakers for generations to come.

But their adventures didn't go unnoticed. Snape became very wary of them and kept a vigilant eye out. Noticing this, Sirius thought it would be really funny to tell him to go to the Shrieking Shack--where Remus would go that time of the month--on the night of a full moon. He laughed endlessly but James panicked, catching Snape in time to spare him from Remus' werewolf wrath. If it were possible, Snape regarded them with more contempt than he had previously.

As Sirius and James began maturing from boys to young men--physically anyway--they gained a lot of attention from girls. Sirius reveled in it. He didn't need charm when he had those infamous Black good-looks. James didn't. Not that he couldn't, he just only had eyes for Lily Evans, but Sirius loved running after a group of giggling girls--a real skirt-chaser.

When he was sixteen and returned home from Hogwarts, his mother seemed more mentally unstable than usual. She did everything to shove her "good son" in Sirius' face and started calling all of his friends foul names. That was the line. Sirius declared that enough was enough. He packed all he could carry and trekked to the Potters' home. His mother screamed good riddance, and Sirius would later learn that she cursed his name off the family tree.

The Potters welcomed him with open arms. They were a bit concerned at first, thinking it unwise for a teenager to run away from his parents, but when Sirius told them how they were, they accepted him into their home like he was a son of their own. Sirius loved it there. James was like a brother he never had, and the two got into the same amount of trouble, if not more so, that they had at school.

Come their seventh year, the quartet settled down some, though not fully. James finally won the affection of Lily Evans. She wasn't even like a third wheel to the Sirius-James dynamic. Really, once she let her hair down, she was just as silly as any of them--an honorary Marauder, if you will.

Sirius received top marks on all his NEWTs, although he didn't do nearly as good as Remus (but nobody did). When he graduated, he was able to move out of the Potters' home as his Uncle Alphard gave him his inheritance money. Sirius was admittedly surprised, though he shouldn't have been. They had been very close when he was younger; he wished he could've spent more time with his uncle in his old age. He smiled wickedly to himself when he though of his mother's reaction, imagining the look of horror all over her face when she realized what had happened.

As he didn't have to work from the high amount of money he had in his Gringotts account, thanks to his uncle, Sirius dedicated himself a full-time member of the Order of the Phoenix. Times had become very grim. With the Dark Lord at large, they couldn't goof around as they used to. In fact, the only leisure activity Sirius took in was building a motorcycle like he had memorized in those Muggle magazines. He even enchanted it to fly. He wasn't fond of broomsticks like James. He also wasn't sure if by enchanting the Muggle artifact to fly that he was obeying the law, but he didn't care. He wasn't hurting anybody.

When James and Lily declared their engagement, Sirius was honored to be asked the best man. Shortly after, Lily became pregnant with her and James' baby, and when Harry Potter was born, Sirius was asked to be the godfather. Once again, he was honored. When he held little Harry in his arms, he bonded to him immediately like he was his own son.

But all would not be well when little Harry was marked for death. James trusted Sirius with his life, honoring him for a third time when he asked him to be their Secret Keeper, even though Albus Dumbledore offered to be it. Although Sirius would've gladly accepted death rather than betraying his friends, he came up with what he thought was a grand idea.

Everyone knew that Sirius was a close friend to James. Surely, Voldemort would come looking for Sirius, but what if Sirius wasn't the Secret Keeper? Voldemort would still pursue him yet be in an utter state of confusion when Sirius couldn't provide the answer. He would never ever suspect that the Potters would trust such a valuable job to talentless, weak little Peter Pettigrew.

That would be the day Sirius would regret above all else.

He and James kept this a secret, not even telling Dumbledore or Remus that he and Pettigrew decided to switch. The deed was done, but Sirius was nervous. He decided to check on Pettigrew to make sure he was fairing well on his own, only to discover the rat had fled his home. In a panic, Sirius flew on his bike to the Potters, only to discover it in a state of ruins.

By some miracle, baby Harry survived. Hagrid found him in the wreckage. Although devastated over the loss of his friends, Sirius insisted on taking Harry as he was his godson. But Hagrid did not give the baby to him as Dumbledore ordered otherwise. Hit with the realization that everyone was going to think that he had betrayed his friends, Sirius let Hagrid keep his motorbike. At this point, Sirius wanted nothing more than to avenge his best friend.

It didn't take long for Sirius to find the rat. Thinking Sirius wouldn't dare kill him publicly, he revealed himself in front of a large group of Muggles. Pettigrew was wrong to think Sirius wouldn't kill him in front of them. Oh, he planned on doing it. But in a last ditch effort, Pettigrew cut off his fingers, threw an explosion behind him, which resulted in the death of twelve Muggles, and fled in his Animagus form. Sirius stood there, eyes wide, dumbfounded. He was utterly screwed.

When the Magical Law Enforcement came to get him, he surrendered immediately, laughing his arse off. He was by no means amused. He was just so shocked that Pettigrew, the lost puppy, the cheerleader, the rat could pull off a scandal that exquisite and gripped with the realization that he had nothing left. The Ministry spared no time in sentencing Sirius to Azkaban, not even giving him a trial.

In Azkaban, Sirius couldn't keep his mind off of Pettigrew, growing obsessive. He spent much of his time in his Animagus form as the dementors couldn't affect him otherwise. All the while, he retained his sanity by knowing of his innocence. This didn't stop Azkaban from depleting him, though. He grew sickly thin, and his hair grew very long, falling to his elbows. After twelve years of imprisonment, Sirius would ask to see a copy of the Daily Prophet from the Minister of Magic himself. He would see on the cover that a family had won a prize and spent the money on a trip to England. There was a picture of them, smiling and waving, and on a little boy's shoulder sat Peter Pettigrew, in his Animagus form, sniffling around and wiping his nose with a paw that was missing a single digit.

Sirius carefully planned his escape, and when the dementors opened the door one day, he reverted to his Animagus form, slipping by unnoticed. Making it back to England, Sirius decided to make a detour to Little Whinging first, in hopes of catching a glance of his godson. He did, but Harry appeared frightened by the sight. Of course, he didn't realize it was Sirius.

Afterward, Sirius pursued Hogwarts. They had dementors stationed outside it as he was considered a fugitive, but they hardly noticed him as he spent most of his time in his Animagus form. Remus had started working that year, and as much as Sirius wanted to talk to him, he refrained, fearing his old friend wouldn't listen and would turn him in. He made attempts to get in on his own and didn't do so very well. It wasn't until he befriended a plump little orange cat with a squashed face, Crookshanks, that he'd learn a little more specifically about Pettigrew's whereabouts. But in that time, Sirius also wanted to keep a watchful eye on Harry. He even ordered him a Firebolt for Christmas.

Crookshanks tried to capture Pettigrew for him, but his attempts failed. Sirius got into Hogwarts a few times. One time he slashed the portrait of the Fat Lady because she wouldn't let him through. On another occasion, Crookshanks got a list of passwords for him, and Sirius got in because the portrait guarding the Gryffindor common room that time, Sir Cadogon, was an idiot. Unfortunately, in his rage, he slashed the hangings of the boy who was keeping Pettigrew as a pet and couldn't find the rat. His angry ministrations woke the dormitory immediately, and he had to flee.

It wouldn't be until much later that Sirius would get a hold of Pettigrew and Harry in the Shrieking Shack. He accidentally broke a friend of Harry's leg dragging him in there. He'd later learn his name was Ron. Harry and his other friend, Hermione, followed in. Harry believed that Sirius had betrayed his parents, and it took a lot of convincing for him to realize the truth. Having seen both Sirius and Pettigrew's name on the Marauder's Map, Remus came, trying to convince Harry as well. Even Snape paid a visit, and he was very close to turning Sirius in, but the children knocked him unconscious.

Remus and Sirius revealed that the rat, who was going by the name Scabbers, was Peter Pettigrew and decided to kill him together. In the last moment, Harry asked them to spare him, and they obliged. But when they left the Shrieking Shack and Sirius even told Harry he was his godfather and he could come live with him, the full moon revealed itself, changing Remus into a werewolf. Sirius couldn't keep a watch on Pettigrew and had to transform into his dog form to protect Harry and his friends from Remus.

Pettigrew got away, and Sirius found himself by the Black Lake surrounded by dementors and unguarded by his Animagus form. He would later learn that it was Harry who saved him, but he was caught once again, locked in the Charms classroom and ready to be taken back to Azkaban. By some stroke of luck, Harry and Hermione appeared at the window with a hippogriff, Buckbeak. With a quick goodbye, Sirius escaped on the hippogriff, still a fugitive but not so forlorn as Harry now knew the truth.

Sirius fled England, making a few public appearances along the way that were far from Hogwarts so they won't keep the school on such a tight hold. He found a nice tropical area and lived a pleasant life there, far away from the Ministry's jurisdiction. He kept in contact with Harry via owl post and formed a long distance godfather-godson relationship. He always asked Harry to tell him when something was bothering him and gave out fairly sensible advice.

But when Sirius learned that Harry's scar was bothering him, he became concerned and returned back to England to be closer to him. He lived in caves, mostly eating rats and keeping Buckbeak nearby. All the while, he kept in constant contact with Harry as well as Dumbledore. The odd events happening to Harry that year kept him on edge. He communicated with him via the Floo Network and even met with him in Hogsmede. At the end of the year, when Voldemort was restored, he stayed at Harry's side in his Animagus form.

Since Fudge was in disbelief of the Dark Lord's return, Dumbledore reformed the Order of the Phoenix, and Sirius was quickly inducted. He went back to Number Twelve Grimmauld Place to discover that the remnants of his family were dead, and the house was abandoned, only occupied by Kreacher. Dumbledore wouldn't let him do any field work as it would attract unsightly attention since he was still a convict, so he offered the house as headquarters. Remus couldn't hold a job because of his "furry little problem," so Sirius let him live there as well. He let Buckbeak have his mother's room, and it amused him to watch the beast use her bed as the loo.

Sirius spent most of his adulthood in Azkaban. This stunted his emotional development quite a bit. While Remus clearly grew more mature and wiser with time, these blessings were not delivered to Sirius. His mind set was still young, stuck in those days when he and his friends were "the Marauders," so he had a hard time dealing with his confinement. He found it worse than Azkaban, really. The walls smelled sickly of death and reminded him of his putrid mother, and every time that awful portrait flared, he was tempted to stick a knife in it. It didn't help that Kreacher was roaming the place constantly spewing words of his mother in a senile state. He also knew he couldn't rid himself of the house-elf lest he ran to other members of the Black family and gave away vital information.

He learned a lot about what happened to his family. He saw how his name had been blasted off the family tree. He learned how his younger brother had become a Death Eater and died a couple years after. Sirius chuckled, he deserved it. He learned how his dear cousin Andromeda had married a Muggle and was delighted to meet her daughter, a charming yet clumsy Metamorphmagus named Tonks. But all he could think about was his wretched family. He longed for adventure, hands-on combat, the thrill of the risk of being caught, and when he saw Harry again, he couldn't help but see him as a little version of James. It brought him back to his Hogwarts days and all the mischief they used to get in.

When the possibility ran that Harry could be expelled from school, Sirius secretly hoped that he would. He'd never admit this of course, but he thought he wouldn't be so lonely with a little version of James running around with him. Sirius did try to spend as much time as he could with him, teaching him all that he learned about the fate of his family members and revealing how horrible they were. Sirius really loved the time they had together. When Harry was cleared of all charges, he was admittedly disappointed. But he did his best to keep it to himself and kept in contact with Harry via owl post and also the Floo Network.

Sirius was delighted to spending Christmas with Harry and company. He was sure the only other time he had got into that much Christmas spirit was when he was at Hogwarts. He sang, usually drunkenly, he decorated, he had a merry little Christmas, indeed. Of course after Christmas, Harry would be going back, and Sirius felt lonely again. He tried to set up a visit in Hogmede, but with Harry too paranoid about him getting caught, he convinced Sirius not to come. Quite disappointed, Sirius had to acknowledge the fact that Harry really wasn't like James, who would've been thrilled by the risk.

Having noticed Kreacher's disappearances, Sirius was a little worried but ultimately disregarded it. He had no idea the house-elf sold out what information he could about the Order of the Phoenix--more specifically, the bond that he had formed with Harry. After treating Buckbeak who had been injured one day, Snape came to find him and informed him that Harry had run to the Ministry under the impression Sirius was there.

No longer caring what Dumbledore said, Sirius ran alongside the other Order members in an attempt to save Harry. He dueled with many Death Eaters until he had the displeasure of stumbling across his sadistic cousin, Bellatrix Lestrange. He engaged in a duel, and by an ironic twist of fate, as Sirius mocked her poor aim, he hit him with a spell that knocked him into the Veil of Death, killing him instantly.

Sirius was to never be seen again except for one more time. Harry turned the resurrection stone, summoning the spirits of Sirius, James, Lily, and Remus. They walked with Harry as he had to face Voldemort and let him kill him. He assured Harry that death was painless, easier than falling to sleep.
